Linnen & Ton
A small shop with a big shop window: online.
Concept project: Linnen & Ton is a fictional business. The project shows how I would approach a website for this industry.
The challenge
Small shops compete with huge online stores, yet don't want to ship anything themselves. What they need is a shop window that brings people through the door.
The approach
Plenty of white space, an elegant serif and products presented like in a gallery. The design feels like the shop itself: calm, refined, approachable.
The solution
A lean product catalogue with reservations instead of a cart, same-day pickup, and a section for new arrivals and workshops. The shop maintains products itself, with no shop system to look after.
What makes it special
Reserve, don't ship
Customers reserve online and pick up in store. No shipping, no returns, more visits in person.
Gallery presentation
Products stand out through generous spacing, calm colours and carefully tuned image formats.
News & workshops
A space for events and new collections gives regulars a reason to come back.
